The International Writing Centers Association conference will be held October 30 - November 1, 2008 in Las Vegas. Pre-conference workshops will take place Wednesday, October 29. The reduced rate registration deadline is October 24.

This year's conference theme focuses on various ways in which a writing center might extend its services, concerns, and commitments outside the center itself. Satellite sites, collaboration with other units or programs, community services, and service learning are just a few possibilities.

What are your strategies, proposals, dreams, or experiences related to reaching out beyond the physical or metaphorical walls of your writing center? What should we research? What can we learn?

All events take place in the Academic Building, 36600 Schoolcraft Road.
